Internal Mobility at Precisely with Ramdas Jagtap
Internal mobility is a key aspect of any organization. The opportunity to try new things in a company, whether a lateral or vertical move, is something that any employee can find an interest in.
This type of company-wide initiative can also lead to higher employee retention and overall employee happiness which, in return, can help an organization grow and attract new talent.
We spoke to one employee who has already experienced the opportunities for career growth and personal development within Precisely. Ramdas Jagtap joined Precisely two years ago as a Senior Software Engineer in Development and, as of three months ago, has transitioned into his new role as a Senior Software Engineer in Quality Management. Here’s what he had to say:
What excites you about your new role at Precisely?
I am always up to new and exciting challenges and love to learn. Learning new skills is essential to advancing your career. I am excited when I see a product has adopted new technologies and moved to the next level on the cloud.
What was your last role with the company and how did you prepare for your current role?
My last role was with the B2B Integration Docker team as Senior Software Developer. I was responsible to move B2B software to the next level on the cloud. Migrating two decades old monolithic B2B application to microservices was an epic journey.
What motivated you to apply for your new role?
I was motivated to apply for the new role because of an interest to excel my cloud learning and utilize my experience from cloud, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
